Love in Action

Love in Action is the most direct expression of our name. It's the work that happens outside the program structures — when a family needs food on the table, clothing for a child starting school, emergency repairs on a home, or someone to sit with them in a difficult moment.

We do not believe in bureaucratic gatekeeping for practical compassion. When we identify a genuine need we can meet, we meet it — then work to connect the individual or family with longer-term resources through our other programs or community partners.

What This Program Includes

  Food assistance: Emergency food packages and connections to local food banks and assistance programs

  Clothing drives: Seasonal clothing collections and distribution for children and families in need

  Construction & repair: Home repair projects, wheelchair ramp construction, emergency weatherization, and similar practical projects

  Crisis support: Practical assistance during family crises — loss, health emergencies, domestic transitions

  Resource connection: Helping families navigate and access social services, housing assistance, and other available support systems

How Families Are Referred

Needs are identified through our existing program relationships, referrals from community partners, school social workers, and direct community outreach. We do not require formal applications for immediate practical assistance — our approach is relational and trust-based.
