Medical Brigades
Short-term service trips delivering primary healthcare to communities that would otherwise go unserved.
Healthcare is a basic human right — but geography, economics, and infrastructure mean that millions of people in underserved communities have no practical access to primary medical care. The medical brigade model meets that need directly: trained medical professionals, community volunteers, and necessary medications travel to where the need is greatest.

What Happens on a Brigade
A typical brigade lasts 5–7 days and includes a team of 8–20 people: licensed medical professionals (physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists) alongside trained volunteers who assist with triage, patient flow, translation, and logistics. Brigades typically see 200–400 patients over the course of a week, providing physical exams, acute care, chronic disease management, dental care, vision screening, and prescription medications.

These partnerships are essential — local organizations provide community trust, logistical knowledge, and the ongoing relationships that make one-week medical visits genuinely useful rather than episodic.
Join a Brigade
Medical professionals interested in joining an upcoming brigade, and non-medical volunteers interested in serving in support roles, are welcome to contact us. Brigade spots fill several months in advance. We provide logistical support, medical supply coordination, and pre-trip orientation.
