Mental Health
Workshops and resources that integrate wellbeing into every aspect of our community work.
Mental health is not separate from everything else we do — it's woven through it. Our after-school program attends to the emotional wellbeing of children. Our mentoring program develops the kind of psychological resilience that enables young adults to navigate adversity. Our arts programs create safe space for emotional expression and processing.
But we also operate dedicated mental health programming: workshops specifically designed to build resilience, emotional literacy, and practical coping skills in the populations we serve.
Workshops for Teachers
Educators are among the most stressed professionals in any community — and among the most important adults in children's lives. Our workshops for teachers focus on stress management, secondary trauma awareness, effective support strategies for students in crisis, and the practical boundary-setting skills that allow educators to sustain their work long-term without burning out.
Workshops for Parents
Parenting in today's environment — navigating social media risks, economic pressure, educational challenges, and the changing landscape of childhood — is genuinely difficult. Our parent workshops provide practical tools, peer support, and evidence-based strategies for maintaining emotional connection with children through these pressures. Digital parenting is a particular focus area.
Workshops for Students
For children and teenagers, we facilitate age-appropriate workshops on emotional vocabulary, healthy relationship patterns, stress management, and how to seek help when struggling. These workshops are conducted in school settings and community centers in partnership with local educators and counselors.
