Mentoring & Leadership

Structured guidance, accountability, and community for young adults learning to lead.

Mentoring is at the core of everything First Love Movement does. We believe that consistent, accountable, long-term relationships between experienced leaders and younger adults is one of the most powerful agents of positive change in any community.

Our structured mentoring program pairs participants with experienced mentors for regular one-on-one sessions — addressing practical life skills, career development, emotional health, and deeper questions of identity and purpose. Weekly meetings create the consistency that produces real transformation over time.

Leadership Workshops

We currently train 15 emerging leaders weekly through our group leadership development workshops. These sessions cover practical leadership frameworks, conflict resolution, community organizing skills, and the character development that separates knowledge from impact. Participants graduate with both competencies and a network of peers who become long-term accountability partners.

Who We Serve

Our mentoring programs serve young adults aged 16–30, with particular focus on those facing systemic disadvantages: individuals coming out of the justice system, young people aging out of foster care, first-generation college students, and those navigating long-term unemployment or underemployment.

How to Get Involved

Experienced professionals and community leaders interested in serving as mentors are an essential part of this program. The commitment is typically 1–2 hours per week and a minimum of 6 months. Contact us to learn about the current mentor onboarding process.
